Jag har lärt känna skarven. Hon står vid flodens mynning. I dag är det tredje dagen hon fäller ut sina blöta vingar. Som en mäktighet breder hon ut sig. Svart. Riktad mot solen. Riktad mot Medelhavet. Väldigt intensivt står hon där och länge. Jag känner hennes närvaro på avstånd. Jag ser att hon njuter av sin gest, att hon njuter av sina svarta vingar. Skarven har en överblick som de andra fåglarna vid floddeltat saknar. Nu har hon fällt ned sina vingar och vänt sig  mot floden. Hon står blickstilla men är fullt närvarande i vad de andra fåglarna gör. Men egentligen är hon fokuserad inåt och nedåt. Purpurhönan syns inte till.
Du tror att jag torkar mina vingar. Men det gör jag inte. Primärt är det inte vad jag gör. Jag samlar ljus. Ser du min gestalt, hur den ser ut här i solen. Ser du att min eteriska kropp inte skapar någon skugga?

Om du tittar noga så ser du att inga fåglar skapar skuggor. Det är viktig information som säger något om den uppgift vi fåglar har.
Vad menar du skarv med att du samlar ljus?
Ser du inte att jag är en solfjäder? Att mina svarta vingar sprider ut sig runt mig som en solfjäder. Detta är min ljussamlande gest. Så svart är jag att jag behöver absoerbera ljus genom fjädrarna in i kroppen. Mina fjädrar är speciella.
Jag vet att dina fjädrar är annorlunda. Att de suger åt sig vatten när du dyker. Att detta gör att du dyker väldigt djupt – kanske dekvis för att kroppen din blir så tung…men också ser jag på dina vingslag att dina vingar är tunga, att de är fyllda med vatten.
Så ser det ut. Att jag är en fåglarnas minnesbärare. Jag dyker djupt – kanske djupast av alla fåglar och fyller mig med minnen om alltings ursprung. Om det svarta och om regnbågen. Likt vattendroppar fastnar minnena i mina vingar.  Jag är tung av minnen. Både vackra minnen och mörka minnen. När jag sedan breder ut vingarna i solen då sprider jag dessa minnen. Vattendropparna i min fjäderdräkt sjunger sånger om alltings ursprung. Så lyssnar de andra fåglarna på mig och kanhända att de sjunger med mig och tackar mig för att jag påminner dem om alltings ursprung. Den fågel ni känner som korpen har en liknande uppgift. Han är också minnesbärare. Men han sjunger om andra ting. Vi är båda svarta men våra sånger är ljusa.
